The “Digital Primitives” is founded by two brothers: Isaïe & Nathanaël Reuling from Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Nathanaël is a freelance graphic designer and art director. He works for international clients such as Stedelijk Museum, World Press Photo and Wetransfer. He is currently designing graphics for Dutch clothing brand Daily Paper.
Isaïe is a music producer and artist. He has released many records under his alias Simon Weiss for renowned labels including Rush Hour (Amsterdam), Voyage Direct, Compost Records (Germany), and Kolour Recordings (Detroit).
From the beginning, the Reuling brothers have joined forces to create innovative work. They have worked collaboratively on exhibitions and installations for Dutch Design Week (Eindhoven), Biennial of Graphic Design Brno, FOAM (Amsterdam), Looiersgracht60 (Amsterdam), and DémArt (Lausanne).
“Digital Primitives” is a new project where they explore the birth of the virtual world, by using one of the first ray-tracing programs to generate images from text-based scene description.
